LONG ISLAND BANJO SOCIETY
The Long Island Banjo Society was organized in 1963 as a non-profit band of mostly retired seniors who love to play the banjo while promoting "the preservation and entertainment of banjo playing." Performing with a variety of banjos and back-up rhythm and bass instruments, they will have your feet tapping along with music you'll surely recognize.
Making Memories with Music events will allow participants with opportunities to sing, clap and laugh along with our specially trained musicians. This stroll down Memory Lane will engage everyone in attendance. The music will be accompanied by brief introductions that will put the songs into historical context.
